According to The Times of India, Kennedy will forgo the theatrical release and instead launch on the ZEE5 OTT channel. Anurag Kashyap’s neo-noir thriller will begin streaming on ZEE5 on February 20, 2026, making it finally available to Indian fans.
Kennedy allegedly revolves around Uday Shetty (Rahul Bhat), an insomniac former police officer who is presumed deceased. Living under the alias Kennedy, he operates in Mumbai’s crime-ridden underbelly as a contract killer for a corrupt police force. Burdened by guilt, his life takes a complex turn when he meets a mystery woman named Charlie (Sunny Leone), pushing him to confront his tumultuous past and moral dilemmas.
Prior to Kennedy, Rahul Bhat collaborated with filmmaker Anurag Kashyap on two films. Their debut film together was the gritty 2013 thriller Ugly, in which Rahul Bhat portrayed a distressed father urgently looking for his lost daughter. The film also stars Ronit Roy, Tejaswini Kolhapure, and Vineet Kumar Singh in significant parts.
The actor-director duo reunited for Dobaaraa (2022), a sci-fi mystery thriller starring Taapsee Pannu in which she attempts to rescue the life of a young kid who died more than 20 years earlier. Both of these films, however undervalued, deserve to be seen by Anurag Kashyap fans and serious cinephiles alike.
