Number of posts: 17. The number of positions may vary based on the occurrence of impending vacancies resulting from the promotion of regular Junior Assistants to the position of Senior Assistant, as well as the Institute’s urgent administrative requirements.
Category-wise vacancies:
UR: 4
SC: 1; ST: 2; OBC-NCL: 6.
EWS: 4
Pay Matrix Level 3 (as per the 7th CPC).
Age Limit: Up to 27 years (there is no maximum age limit for regular workers of IIT Guwahati).
Age Relaxation: Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD/Ex-Servicemen will be based on GOI norms. SC/ST/OBC candidates who apply for unreserved (UR) posts would be ineligible for age relaxation.
Educational and other qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with expertise of computer office software.
Application fees vary by category. UR/OBC applicants pay ₹500/-, while SC/ST, women, and PWBD applicants are exempt.
