Dwarkamai, Shirdi
Shirdi Sai Baba spent nearly 60 years of his life in the sacred Dwarkamai masjid in Shirdi, Maharashtra, India. It was an old, neglected mosque in Dwarkamai before Sai Baba arrived. However, Baba renamed it Dwarkamai and transformed it into a sacred site.
Sai Baba used to sit on the flat stone known as “Shila” in the mosque and converse with the villagers who came to see him. He also gave all of his followers ash known as “Udi,” which was said to have the ability to end all pain.
At Dwarkamai, Sai Baba would also light lamps that would never go out. In the past, Baba prepared meals for his followers, served them, and shared meals with them. The mosque is now separated into two levels when you visit Dwarkamai in Shirdi.
There is a large statue of Sai Baba on the first level, along with a large stone that is thought to be where Sai Baba once sat. There are two rooms with a palki and chariot in the other section. This level also features a grinding stone and the wooden container known as “Kolamba,” which Sai Baba used to store the “Bhiksha” that the locals and his followers gave him.
The focal point of Dwarkamai is also the oil paintings of Sai Baba seated in a carved wooden shrine inside the mosque. Because he was happy and pleased while residing here, Sai Baba used to affectionately refer to Dwarkamai as his mother. Saiteerth religious theme park, India’s first devotional theme park in Shirdi, allows you to feel as though you are actually meeting Sai Baba and Dwarkamai. “Dwarkamai” is one of Saiteeth’s primary attractions.
Dwarkamai is a magnificent robotics and animatronics production that tells the tale of Saibaba. To offer you the true sense, Dwarkamai’s structure is precisely the same as it was a century ago. This 10-minute performance may accommodate up to 250 people at a time. To see this stunning performance and take in the other well-known sights, you just must go to Saiteerth.
